Within a short drive of Big Sky there are several of arguably the best fly fishing rivers in the nation. Whether your preference is to fish the Gallatin, the Madison, the Yellowstone or to fish in Yellowstone National Park, Big Sky is a perfect home base.
There are several fly shops in Big Sky and Bozeman, but here is my personal preference for each community:

Every fly shop offers guide services, and most are very capable of getting you into fish to help you enjoy your day on the water. But for a truly memorable experience, I can comfortably recommend the following two as the best around:

In addition to numerous appearances in the television and print media, Brian is also a current member of the Fly Fishing Team USA, which speaks volumes to his ability as both a guide and fellow fisherman.
Having has the privilege of fishing with Brian several times over the last few years, I can assure you that not only is Brian very qualified as a guide, he is equally qualified as someone who will ensure a very enjoyable day on the water.

Long time local "Super Dave" has been fishing since he was knee-high to a grasshopper. During the last two decades he's been in Montana guiding, outfitting and fishing for fun, tracking down trout wherever they're found.
